Lucy Hornby, Liz's niece, lives in Shanghai, China. Eric Peng lives in Victoria, British Columbia. They were students together in Princeton & explore all corners of this planet and near and far galaxies. So what is a 280-mile spin from Victoria to Port McNeill? We all had a wonderful 48-hour Onward adventure to the Pearse Islands Marine Park and back.
                   
   
   
Kayaks, guacamole, and a sunset... hard to beat!
Frame 1's kelp (or a near relative) wrapped itself around Onward overnight & provided great AM sport in letting go.
While the passing BC Ferry is the ostensible attraction, obviously it isn't the main one!
Lucy came on Onward in 2003
with her mother and sister
to explore the Sitka, Alaska area.
